Why Kluma?

It started as a customer.

We had our bathroom renovated. Three weeks waiting for a quote. Two tradespeople who never called back. The quote that did arrive: no exclusions, no specifications, handwritten on a scrap of paper. Halfway through the project: additional work. Verbally agreed, never documented. The final bill was €1,200 higher than expected. The tradesperson could not explain why.

That tradesperson was not bad. He was good — skilled, reliable on the job site, and proud of his work. But everything around it — the quote, the communication, the administration — that was chaos. Not because he did not want to, but because he did not have time for it.

Working in tech, we saw the same pattern with dozens of tradespeople. 40% of their working time goes to administration. Half of their inquiries go unanswered. Not because they do not want to, but because they are up a ladder when the phone rings.

We thought: surely there is software for this? There is. But it expects the tradesperson to sit behind a laptop in the evening and enter everything manually. That does not happen. That is why we built Kluma.

Kluma answers the phone when you are busy. Creates the quote while you are in the car. Sends the invoice when you are done. Checks whether you have not forgotten anything. You work, Kluma handles the rest.

We do not build it for tradespeople. We build it with them. Every feature is tested by installers, plumbers and electricians. If they say it does not work, it does not go live.
